The International Coaching Federation defines life coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. In a beneficial coaching relationship, the client is honored as the expert of their life and work and it is believed that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole. The role of a life coach is to provide support to enhance the resources, skills, and creativity that the client already has within. What is the International Coaching Federation (ICF)?
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is a non-profit organization with over 40,000 members, known as a coach training hub for individuals and organizations. Because of its long-standing presence and advocacy for coaching as a notable profession, ICF grows significantly each year and continues to expand as a global staple in the coaching community. The credentials provided by ICF are respected by coaches everywhere. Since 1995, coaches have been training and partnering with this global organization to educate themselves and grow their practices.
An ACTP is an Accredited Coach Training Program which is a thorough, comprehensive coach training experience that adheres to the International Coach Federation’s standards and requirements for certifying coaches.
